Book Cover for Trentham Books

Last year I was asked if I was at all interested in helping to design the cover to an academic book for Trentham Books. The only information I was given was the title and a sentence which summed up the ‘feel’ of the publication. I came up with this abstract design in which I wanted to allude to silent power battles, the ways and means of speaking out and the strength that can be found in doing so. As this was part of a series of publications, I wanted to keep with the design format of the previous ones yet make a clear departure from it thus giving the cover greater impact.
