It’s difficult. Very difficult. I got somewhat frustrated and then got distracted and haven’t tried it since. These, however, are some pen and ink ’striping designs that I managed to do before finding artistic pastures new to visit. I would like to give pinstriping another go….maybe one day. The Silversquid project will hopefully spur me into practising so I can make put some 50s inspired ’striped patterns all over the shiny paintwork.

These are the before and after photos of my flaming fun.



This was a great project to be involved in. And…it just so happens that Chris is recrafting his VW yet again and I’m chomping at the bit to get flaming!

Unfortunately, my little bug is currently festering in my parents’ driveway awaiting one of 2 enivitable fates: a trip to the dump or it’s currently financially challenged owner restoring it to its former glory and beyond. I’m holding out for the second as it’s a very special little car to me.

Anywho, here are some VW sketches I did whilst at various Santa Pod VW shows a good few years ago. Enjoy!
